Red Mill burger and the Grammys

Congrats to Stephen Colbert on winning his first Grammy! I’m so excited for him! Lady GaGa and Beyonce’s performances were pretty awesome, I’m a bit disappointed by the rest of them though. They just weren’t as exciting or as dynamic as I thought they’d be. Pink and Blink 182 had good performances that were more entertaining.

So this past Friday I went to Red Mill Burger with my friends Tanya, Jeff and Eric (look Eric! You’re famous now!). I’ve only been there once before and I don’t remember being that impressed with it, but I think I was trying to be healthy and got a burger or a chicken burger or some thing. This time, I followed the advice of GQ magazine and Oprah and got the Bacon Deluxe with cheese. It was bomb.

We had to stand in line, stalk tables until one opened, and wait about 15 minutes for our food, but it was worth it.

Totally worth not eating junk food during the week

The burger was so good, the crunchy bacon mixed perfectly with the hamburger patty. And they definitely didn’t skimp on the bacon. I got the Red Mill sauce on the side, which was some sort of a thousand island dressing. It was quite tasty putting it on each bite of my burger, and I dipped the onion rings in it as well.

I really enjoyed the onion rings too. And my butterscotch milkshake. Definitely the best meal I’ve had in awhile. I can’t wait to go back there! Maybe I’ll try the verde burger? But I don’t know if I can stray from the bacon… Question of the day – Your favorite addition  to a burger?

    This is quite sad but I went back to Red Mill on Monday (the one in Magnolia) hoping to get another Bacon Deluxe (my sister was also craving one) but it turns out they are closed on Mondays!! They should never be closed!

    To answer your question of the day: my favorite addition to a burger is mushrooms!! Can’t get enough!

    Okay, I think Red Mill will have to be on the top of our places to eat when I come up to visit!

    I can’t have a burger without cheese.
