To me, being a fat kid doesn’t mean being overweight, it means eating to your hearts content and not caring what the outcome is (whether it be needing to be rolled away from the table or having to wear a dress the next day because your pants won’t button). A true fat kid doesn’t care whether or not they ate more than the boys and always has room for dessert.
I began this blog as a way to express my love for food – both eating and making, and fascination for everything I see on Food Network. My favorite shows include ‘Diners, Drive-ins and Dives,’ ‘Ace of Cakes,’ ‘Best Thing I Ever Ate’ and ‘Dinner: Impossible.’ I also like ‘Man vs Food’ and would love to try any of the spicy challenges. I’m not the best cook, but I do enjoy making meals as well as baking. I’m willing to try almost anything, but do admit – I dislike chewy things such as squid and cooked oysters. I didn’t eat seafood for ten years (thank you 4th grade report on what shrimp eat), but now love sushi and Dungeness crab. I will forever be loyal to Korean food, but tandoori chicken and gyros would definitely be on my “last meal” request. I have more of a sweet tooth than savory, but will never deny french fries or chips. Besides food, my passions include traveling, running, UW football (Go Huskies!!!) & the Seattle Sounders.
